Waterfront Park

Good weekend getaway park for walks and picnic. The pier is neat compared to other places I visited. Peaceful and serene atmosphere with excellent views of Benicia-Martinez bridge and the shore.

This is a beautiful park especially if you love bocce ball and birds! Last time we were there we saw these beautiful kites being flown. So awesome 😎. Beware you can get stuck over at the park if you drove. Trains occasionally block intersection leaving no exit. I waited 30 minutes. Don't go if you have an appointment or check the train schedule

What a great little park. Nice place to spend the day with the family. There’s picnic tables, BBQ’s, playground and lots of recreational opportunity’s in the area. Open fields for picnics, softball field, skate park, Bova, nearby marina, and a nature park

Waterfront Park in Martinez is ubiquitously known for Sturgeon Baseball. In reality there are 3 Softball Fields and one Baseball field. It is a great venue for Girls Fastpitch Softball
There is no grandstand seating to speak of. Field four has three benches on the 3rd base side. Bringing your own chairs for tournament play is recommended. Dugouts are covered. Helpful if the sun is behind them. Fields are lit for evening play. There are public restrooms and a snack bar. No idea if the snack bar will be open...it wasn't in mid July 2021 when we visited.
It is located just steps from the bay and within view of the Benicia Bridge. The complex is only 3 minutes from Downtown Martinez.

I had fantastic time at this Park, it happened to be cooler with strong winds . I had BBQ and hangout for 5 hours. There wS plenty of wildlife, I happened to see red tail haek caught Seagull, this part of nature survival. Over all the park is huge with trails near the water, plenty of trees for shades. Loved to be neat the water for fresh air. I would definitely come back again
