SOL Physical Therapy

I just completed rehab for my total knee replacement, and what a great experience! James and Whitney were incredibly knowledgeable and focused on my rehab goals. They listened, they pushed me but were not over the top when I needed to stop, and through their guidance, I achieved my goals! Thank you so much to the entire team.

On my first visit to SOL in Montclair, I was welcomed by gracious and organized Gabe, then had a minute to observe before my appointment. The vibe was low-key but focused -- that is, not gym-bro-y, but everyone definitely working hard. The building was light, clean, and full (but not too full) of people and equipment. I met JP Guzman, and his knowledge and ability were immediately apparent, as was his interest in my own problem. As the weeks have progressed, my confidence in JP has only increased. He pays attention throughout the slate of exercises -- asking questions and calibrating the workout on the fly, even while counting to ten... ; j He's a pro, but also personable and easy to talk to. I would recommend SOL PT in Montclair without reservation.

***Something I was not expecting to find in crowded Montclair was a parking spot -- every time. SOL PT is located just off Mountain Blvd, up in the Village Square shopping, which has its own lot. I appreciate the efficient -- and free -- parking.***

JP Guzman has helped me recover from hip-replacement surgery and is presently helping me avoid knee-replacement surgery. While challenging my limits, he constantly checks with me ensure that I'm not in pain. An exercise that cause discomfort is quickly replaced with another exercise that works the target muscles and that is within my capabilities. I have worked with several good physical therapists over the years, JP is the best.

The physical therapists are very knowledgeable on the exercises that are needed to strengthen and assure recovery from surgery or injury.
I am very impressed with how quickly I improved and met my goals. I will be returning after surgery on my other knee.

JP Guzman, Jordan Patterson, and James Abellar are amazing!! They’ve taught me how to run again, a tremendous achievement considering my ACL was torn for ten years. For the first time since the age of 15 I can run, which allows me to have fun with my dog, inspired me to get a gym membership, and allows me not to be afraid of my knee popping out of place. They real homies for sure and I actually look forward to going to PT
