(April 3, 2021, 12:41 pm)On our last hike, we saw three different pregnant women—it is that easy of a hike on the main trail. It is popular for bikes. If you are hiking, it is best not to wear a headset because it makes it harder to hear the when the bicyclists come up from behind.
You park on the stree—on Skyline. Make sure you don't leave valuables in the car—because there is broken glass from car break-ins.
If you like getting off the beaten trail, there many side paths to explore. Dogs are allowed but they have to be on a leash. It's easy to social distance because the trails are wide. -

(July 12, 2020, 10:32 pm)We did the big trees and sequoia loop and it was great! Parking tip: pay attn to signage. You cannot park on the other side of the road. Even though there's a "no parking any time" sign, everybody parks. We almost got a ticket but the parking guy was nice and tipped us off as we were parking.

(January 11, 2019, 6:00 pm)Wonderful walk thru the redwoods (although not the iconic ones but impressive just the same). Not allot of views of the vistas but territorial glimpses of the forest and trails. Lots of dog walkers here but once you are half a mile past a main trail head you could find yourself peacefully alone.
