NASA Lodge

I'm truly LOL at the comments! Moffett was my first duty station straight out of HMCorps School. From October '89 thru May '92 I lived in what is now called the NASA Lodge, second deck room 223 facing the basketball courts and BBQ grills. Back then it was the BEQ (Barracks). Besides being the best barracks on base at the time...... IT WAS Joint Forces CO-ED!!!! Yes! Both male and female enlisted from USN & USAF females lived in the same building! 1st deck was female enlisted rooms in one building, and the rest was males! 2 bodies per room was standard (unless you were good friends with the MS' that ran billeting.... which I was......😘"Hey Cheryl Herring, Kitty Carr, & Susan McSwigan!"😘 and got someone to block the second spot for you)...... You can imagine how wild & freaky, fun & nasty it was staying there! No one slept/stayed in their assigned rooms! It wasn't uncommon for 2 or more couples to share a room......at least until a breakup occurred. Then we reshuffled and moved into another room!!!! Oh the memories! DAMN! I missed the old fashioned, pre-politically correct military and the personnel from that era!

Oh by the way........ The rooms still look the same!

By far the cheapest and most convenient intern housing you'll find. The rooms are shared, but pretty large and are a good place to meet people.

Rooms are old but very nice. The kitchen is not that pleasant to use and it lacks cutlery. I recommend to enjoy the San Francisco Bay Trail.
