Middle Harbor Shoreline Park Main Pavilion

I discovered this place accidentally because I missed my exit 😅. Since I was lost I just maximize whatever I have at the moment. I love the water , like beaches, rivers. Shorelines, then I immediately did was ...Google map the nearest water park. So this place came up :Middle Harbor Shoreline at Port of Oakland. In my mind , I was thinking what will I see in a harbor? You will see tons after tons of freight containers....I said to myself this will be boring. I arrived at the park, and I saw paradise. 🤗 An oasis waiting to be discovered. I was awed!!! And as the sea breeze hit my face....I felt a lovely feeling inside and told myself that this will be my next favorite park.
Who can resist the call of the ocean, the sound of the roaring waves , the birds flying around either for play, searching for food or for a mate children's laughter while they run and play as an added bonus to this picture perfect scenario you will see the glorious sun either rising or setting painting the blue sky the colors of yellow and orange......but wait there's more..... the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay bridge can be seen at the same time connecting two amazing places in the Bay Area...San Francisco and Oakland.
There are picnic chairs and tables.and large grassy ground for both children and adults to run around. Bathrooms and parking will not be a problem. I recommend this place to anyone who are in the Bay Area.

Another secret Oakland gem 💎

We go here often with the kid to ride bikes, drive rc, fly kites. Its usually pretty quiet here. Right next to the bay and the ship harbor. Can be busy with semi truck on the weekdays. But not many people at the park. There are plenty of tables if you want to bbq. Can get windy, so be ready for that.

Place for a cool morning walk

If you get here before the unmasked, toddler/child-keeping Covid-19-bearing hordes there's plenty of room, fresh air, wildlife, and spectacular bay/SF views peacefulness. Go early; the earlier the better BUT gate to the main entrance and parking area doesn't open until 7:45am. Stay away during likely busy times or social distancing will be problematic and extremely annoying. NO DOGS ALLOWED. Maravilloso y excelente.
