Emeryville Marina Park

Photos of the extensive damage from the recent storms where we got hit with up to 50 mph winds. City workers are gradually coming in and chopping up the wood, turning it into wood chips and dispersing some around the park where needed. This happens every year but in my 10 years in the area I've never seen it to this extent. This is truly something else.

I saw a crow with a hurt leg limping around the other day while walking my dogs, and I'm concerned because I didn't see any of my friendly squirrel buddies, who will come up and take a snack directly from your hand. I hope they're okay! Kudos to the workers who have to deal with clearing the debris. I've never seen so many trees felled in one place over the course of just a few days. I hope nobody got hurt or got their property damaged (ie vehicles, as some of the enormous trees have fallen into the parking lots, and hopefully the boats are okay). I wonder how long it will take them to clean up this mess...

It is small but very nice location. A very nice view of the city (San Francisco). Has a little small marina. I was surprised to find a neat kayak or windsurfing launch ramp with a shower!

If you can manage to actually reach the powell street exit from 80, head west and park your car next to the east Ocean dim sum restaurant and enjoy possibly cleanest and coolest air in the bay area.

There's a walking path that takes you from one side of the docks all the way back.to the shell gas station. The view is terrific and the area is generally quiet. There isn't much to do. Maybe that's the point.

Beautiful scenic bay marina.Parking ,food and boat docks.Great place to picnic or catch a charter fishing trip early in the morning.Local pier to fish off.Barbecue areas and nice grassy areas, walkways. restrooms and plenty of restaurants near by.Great place to observe the majestic skyline of San Francisco Bay and buildings.Full marina with fuel station and launching area.
