Had a coolant leak which was the expansion tank that had a crack in it.Came here for the good reviews. Jason and other front desk guy were great.
Very detailed on the recommended services which I declined as I can do myself except for a couple jobs.
Diagnostic charge which was quoted $178 came out to $250. Plus the repair on expansion tank replaced was another $377. Was not too difficult of a job to do. Other service to replace an air filter was pricey. I feel the prices are comparable to that of a dealership.
All in all. Good service but at a price

These guys are fantastic. So helpful and very honest in all our dealings with them. They take the time to explain the repairs needed and will not give up until it's repaired correctly. We have an old Saab which makes finding parts difficult these days. They are not afraid to tackle repairs that other shops will not try. They also do a wonderful job keeping you informed on the repair progress. They are terribly honest with their repairs. We will always go to them for both of our cars.

Contra Costa Auto Service was recommended to me & I am happy I chose them from the list CarMax provided. I was able to drop my car off on Thursday morning & had it back Friday afternoon! I had my brakes changed, an alignment & also an axle. My car feels a lot smoother with this maintenance complete. I have a 75k mile inspection to be done by the dealership & I’ll be returning my car to them for whatever work that needs to be done!
