Paolo is a straight shooter, no BS in his technical assessments, quality of work, customer service. We have no reason to go get ripped off at a dealership anymore. You won't find a guy more knowledgeable, more trained in every aspect of BMW service. He has given us great advice on what repairs really need to be done, what can wait, what things to look for. He services our B428 and our Audi Q5. He has always stood behind his work, and it's really nice to have a person you can trust.

I could not recommend Paulo and the team from Benicia Motorworks more. They were transparent and fair with excellent communication. Even going above and beyond to find discounts on new parts, returning my car fully detailed and performing a quick turnaround on multiple services. All it takes is a few minutes chatting with Paulo to see he really cares and goes above and beyond for his customers. I will be going back for all auto needs moving forward!

Let's start off by saying EXCELLENT customer service!

Unfortunately for my boyfriend, he was having multiple issues with his 2011 BMW 535i xDrive - from every light on the dashboard lit up, to loss of power steering and ultimately breaking down. We were able to get a hold of Paulo on a Saturday and have his car towed to the shop. Paulo was knowledgeable, reasonably priced and helpful. He replaced the starter, alternator and door handle, changed the oil and it was GOOD AS NEW! We are so happy with the work that was done and would 100% recommend Paulo and his shop Benicia Motorworks to anyone looking for European auto repair/care!

These guys are amazing!! I recently took in my 2018 BMW M2 for an oil and differential fluid service and I received top-notch customer service! I'm very excited to know that I have a local BMW service facility with a technician who previously worked on my cars when I took them to the BMW dealership in Berkeley.

Paolo (the owner) is super friendly and made sure that the work was completed on time and correctly. They even helped me with getting a new set of rotors on my car that had been sitting in my dining room for a few months. I will absolutely be returning for future services--and would also recommend that any other BMW owners who are outside of their service and maintenance warranty period consider going here rather than continuing to patronize the dealership (at much greater expense).

Being able to trust the folks who work on my car is incredibly important as well since I regularly attend high-performance driving events, autocross, and other activities where attention to detail and safety is paramount.

Paolo explained the process of inspecting and running diagnostics on my car first before any repairs. Once that was completed, he gave me a detailed explanation of all the repairs my car needed, the cost & how many days for each job. I felt confident with giving the okay for the major repairs. He listened to my concerns, gave detailed explanations, invited me to the shop to see the areas needed for repairs, documented with pics (of repair areas) & saved the parts to show me. I felt his knowledge and expertise was more on point than the dealership who gave me an exuberant estimate for the same repairs. Paolo has a good team of BMW technicians and I will continue to go back for all my maintenance & repairs.
