(March 25, 2023, 10:42 am)The annual mushroom fair is free and fun! Lots of science demos and interesting talks. You can take walks nearby to the farm or Jewel Lake and enjoy the board walk. Look for newts and mushrooms when they are in season!

(March 29, 2022, 7:39 pm)The Wildcat Creek Trail runs from the Tilden Park Nature Area for 4.7 miles all the way to the Wildcat Canyon Regional Park Alvarado parking lot. It's a well maintained trail of either dirt, gravel or asphalt along the creek, the canyon and the adjacent hills. Unfortunately, the first mile from the Tilden side prohibits dogs and bikes. A majestic place to hike or bring the kids. Multiple trail options.

(June 24, 2019, 2:52 am)A fun park with great trails and many things to see! The little farm there is also fun for kids of all ages. The lookout on the top of the mountain is so worth it! Bring some snacks and something to drink. It also rains occasionally.

(February 7, 2019, 6:12 pm)This was such a blast I came to see the fungus fair and attend a drawing Workshop to learn how to draw and paint mushrooms and other fungi. All the tables in the community center were covered in different mushrooms that had been scavenged in the woods surrounding. There's cows and goat with long curly horns nice hiking and beautiful trees. A must-see event

(January 18, 2017, 8:28 pm)Beautiful setting for a small demonstration farm right in Tilden Nature Area! Bring lettuce and celery to feed the animals! This place is fun for the whole family! Wear sturdy footwear, this is a rustic outdoor environment.
