Really enjoyed coming to this park with the family. A short hike that’s worth it at the end with a lake view. Plan for 1-2 hrs here. Lots of vineyards to see on your way up there. There are quite a few mountain bikers , so keep that in mind of having to move often to the side for them .
This place is pretty amazing. Lots of little adventures to find. A secret cave with an amazing little view. Several different trails, each with their own different view of the surrounding area. Dogs are allowed on a leash. I saw a couple of ponds when I was there they had some ducks in them. There were also several children running around exploring and enjoying themselves, so it seems like a pretty family friendly place to go. There were several picnic tables in shaded areas disbursed throughout the park incase you wanted to snack or some lunch. It can get pretty crowded so get there early plus the parking lot is super small and they charge like a four dollar fee but don’t worry there’s parking along the road just outside the park. I was lucky enough to get a spot in the shade there pretty lucky. So if you don’t park in the parking lot and you save yourself the fee, why not just drop it in the donation box on your way into the park. ENJOY!
Me and 3 of my sisters met up in CA for a sisters trip. We hiked here a couple times during our stay. Both hikes were about 4-5 miles and we took a different path each time. This park is amazing!! Both hikes we did uphill. One was more strenuous then the other. One sister has a bum knee so we started out with her on a lower, more level path and then retraced our steps, dropped her at a picnic table to enjoy the views and continued on our more vigorous hike. This place is beautiful! I would highly recommend if you are in the area. Park was clean. Trails are marked but we didn't really use the map. We did pay to get in but totally worth it.
Lovely local park for day hikes. Multiple species of wildflowers in the spring. $3 entrance fee; extra $1 for dog. Bikes are also allowed. Scenic oakwood meadows make for good scenery as well as some locations with elevated views of the surrounding areas. There is a mix of wooded areas as well. If you are trying to get a closer look at a flower, be sure to check for poison oak first.
Great place for a sunrise hike! The trails we took were moderate difficultly and we are NOT hikers. The views were breathtaking! It seems to be family friendly. The people we met at intervals were kind and welcoming. You can tell the community members who know about this place really appreciate it. Although the park was relatively clean, the bathrooms were very smelly, maps were faded, signs weren't in great shape or missing and QR codes around the park led to website errors. A bit of love and elbow grease is needed for the sake of newbies, but it was still an enjoyable morning hike!
Great therapist easy to talk to and very professional
