Pacifica Esplanade Beach

This is a dog friendly beach in the middle of Pacifica. Parking is a little hard to find, but is free. One should parking on the street. The beach is clean and well maintained. The city provide trash cans and pooping bags. The good of this beach is that is not overcrowded, so if you have dogs, you can walk with them off leach. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful views. Incredible black sand. I hope people are aware The cliffs are eroding and they need to be careful that the sandy soil above has not cave in on them.

Wonderful dog friendly beach! Clean (owners clean up the poop) and well kept. Beautiful! The beach is always changing, somedays it has little seaweed/ocean debris, somedays more. Depends on the tide. I will say that overall my experiences with the dogs and their owners have been mostly positive. There have been a few aggressive dogs and inattentive owners (sort of a trend there). I have had no real attacks or heard of any on the beach. Additionally, please be aware, people bring their young children (as little as a baby unable to walk to toddler). They sometimes don't even have a dog with them but they choose to take their walk on an off-leash dog beach. I've seen these sorts of people get outwardly annoyed when a dog runs past and kicks sand on them, it's laughable (don't spend time with your baby on an off-leash dog beach). It's a nice place overall, but it can get a bit hectic. Don't go if you don't like dogs running up to you.

I always enjoy visiting this beach with my dogs. Dogs can run freely (off-leash) and since there's only one way out, no need to worry about them running away.

Wonderful time at this beach, I finally had my mother to come! We had 3 dogs came together, the dogs had Wonderful time getting in the water, playing with other dogs. Had a lunch in warm afternoon. I think to recommend to get the folding chairs so that the dogs won't run through the blankets and stomping on woth sand. We had no problems when we sat on the folding chairs, even dogs are curious on our site.
