Julia is a dedicated marriage and family therapist who exemplifies balance, wellness, and self-care. She is easy to talk to – one has the sense that they can share anything with her. And though she creates a “safe space”, in which one feels comfortable expressing sorrow, grief, and anger, it is quite easy to laugh in Julia’s company. I am an artist, and I feel more at home in intentionally decorated places. Julia has excellent taste and takes care to make her office inviting and beautiful.
Additionally, Julia works to make our community a safe and nurturing environment for young people and teens, by serving as clinical director of “A Home Within”, a mental health advocacy group for children in the foster care system.

I have known Julia for over 10 years. She is a very compassionate person, trusted friend and dynamic listener. Julia consistently exceeds expectations when tackling a challenge. Her integrity and commitment to the process of healing are what make her an outstanding individual and therapist.

I have known Julia for many years through mutual social circles but only in the past couple years have I had the opportunity to truly better understand the amazing person that she is.

Julia radiates a magnetizing energy that manifests in many forms. While in her presence she provides a sense of comfort and well-being while at the same time engaging the single individual or an entire room of people at a level that encourages focus, honesty and intent in conversation. She is a sentient being with many talents and gifts all of which I believe she understands and cherishes not only inwardly but in fact takes responsibility in knowing that these gifts should be shared with the rest of us.

She is a woman of true integrity and though I have not worked with her professionally, I can only imagine the importance she places on providing the highest level of care for her clients both instinctually and through her formal education.
