Service TOO fast 😂 great bun bo, ban beo is yummy too. Mi quang was delicious. Big portions -I couldn’t finish my food in one sitting

Hue is one of my favorite spots to hit up for a home-y comfort food in sj - the three items ive selected on this list are my staples that i’d order every time i stop by! for the banh beo and nam chua hue these are more like appetizer items and for the nam chua hue it is definitely a bit sour-y as it’s fermented but it has a spicy kick to it with the fresh chili added on top - may be an acquired taste and not for everyone but also fun to try at least once! for the banh beo it’s rice cake covered with some yummy toppings - ground shrimp and a pork rind. it’s both filling over time but super fun to eat as they come on small dishes. super flavorful already with the toppings but intermixed with the fish sauce provides the balance of savory and slight tanginess. for the bun bo hue - i really appreciate how rich the flavor of the soup is (and maybe it’s because my spice tolerance is high) but it’s actually not too spicy for most around me too. one of my favorite part of the bun bo hue is the noodle type and soup - 10/10 recommend!

It's a busy restaurant selling central Vietnamese food, Huế style and dishes. They are popular for their Huế appetizers, like bánh Bèo, the steam rice cake eating with fish sauce. We often go here for bánh Bèo. Their bún Huế is also good too. Today I tried bánh Xèo which is not their main sale, but I just happened to crave for it when my husband wanted to go here for lunch. It's ok.
Pro: It's hot and crunchy. I also like their fish sauce.
Con: Took a long time to come out. It's a bit too hard and oily for me. It's alo missing mung bean. Their vegetable doesn't have much variety. Their meat and shrimps are pre-cook before so when they cook again in bánh xèo, the meat gets too hard and not as much flavor.
In general, it's not bad but not good either. I don't recommend to go here for bánh xèo. (Bánh Xèo Ngon in the same plaza is known for their bánh xèo.)
But their other Hue dishes are all good.
We had 1 bánh bèo ~$5.95, 1 chả Huế ~$3.5, 1 bún bò ~$14.25, 1 bánh xèo ~$14.50. The bill is about ~$50. Reasonable.

Heard good things about this restaurant on social media, so wanted to check it out. Food style from Central Vietnam / We went yesterday during the holiday and it was packed. Put our name on the waiting list and they were able to sit us within 15 minutes. Even though the restaurant was completely packed, the food came out quickly and the little plates started stacking as seen in the photos! Adding a small piece of pork rind to the top of a lightly steamed, thin dough consistency, accompanying with shrimp dust and some green onion, dipped in fish sauce was a perfect bite. Must have ordered approx 5 orders it was delicious. Also had the grilled pork spring rolls, the first order was great the pork was warm but the second order took a super long time to come out and it came to me ice cold which was a miss in what it should be - I would have rather them mention they didn’t have any ready and ask me to order something different or skip. (minus 1 star for ice cold pork and for not bringing any small plates out for us to eat on) we will be back to try some other plates soon
