Dry Creek Pioneer Regional Park

A beautiful and fairly easy hike. Have challenging upward hills, prob 50-60% of mission peak difiiculty.

Great for a 2-3 hr hike, and has a decent big parking lot.

Really beautiful, plus it's not too hot rn (spring).

Beautiful trails in the area. Open all the seasons. Currently many trails are damaged by the storms we had. So be careful when walking. Keep an eye on kids specially. Some sections have mud slides.
Mayor’s ranch trail has a closed section, there is a way around, you will find it to your left.
No trash cans on trails so please carry your trash with you all the way to parking lot.
I would recommend good hiking shoes considering recent weather conditions.

The park is mostly open pasture area, so it's quite large and has a few different landscapes. Occasionally you'll encounter cows as well, but I don't see them very often. The trails are generally well maintained, but they're not always well marked at intersections. Overall it's a great area to explore, but with how open it is, prepare for the weather since there may not be much shelter on some trails.

It's a great hiking place and there are many trails from easy to hard hiking levels.

The one we went was very steep and good for beginners.

Carrying water is better as it's too dry and no shades in many trails.

We didn't see any animals other than cows grazing there. Saw few birds 🐦

Can bring pets. Parking was a problem from the gate we entered. Had park on street and not far from the gate.

Sunset hikes are absolutely gorgeous here. A bunch of trails which allows me to explore and avoid boredom. Not too crowded for the same reason I guess. Abundant parking and yes, dogs can go off leash on the mountains.
