There are not enough words for how much I've valued Carlos and his team with the extensive quality work they did on my home. It started with water and mold remediation, then onto demolition and renovations. What started as front room damages turned into a whole house project. Carlos supported me every step of the way by communicating frequently with myself as well as the insurance adjuster. He went above and beyond by being present when the adjuster came for home visits. He even was present for an all day hearing on my insurance claim!! He was professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, fair priced, sincere and of high integrity, and really cared about the work being done! My home looks beautiful, thanks to Carlos and his team! I now consider Carlos to be a good friend. I would highly recommend Built Right Construction without hesitation!

" The short end of it is that I called a contractor to replace my roof as it was that time to replace it. The contractor who will remain anonymous came out and did a disastrous job. This project started back in January 2023, in the mid of the rainy season, and yes what happened next is exactly what your thinking, the company was midway done installing the roof, stopped because of the rain and the tarp they used to protect the roof failed and water came into many parts of my home. So upsetting....

I lost complete trust in the company and decided to call a water mitigation company called Built Right Construction & Design. Carlos came out and was wonderful. When I was at a loss of what the best next step to remediate this problem, Carlos provided his expert advice and assistance to get things done correctly. He assisted in filing a claim to keep the other contractor accountable in the case they wouldn't want to take responsibility. My adjuster was very pleased to work with Carlos, and Carlos worked very well with my roofing contractor to make sure that the property was correctly dry to prevent mold from growing. Carlos even detected other water intrusion points and did the correct repairs to keep water from coming in.

Built Right Construction & Design did an outstanding job on my kitchen remodel! Since the initial phone conversation with Carlos, he was professional and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions and made us feel we were in safe hands. They provided great advice and went the extra mile to recommend their trusted vendors to help me pick out design materials, such as, countertops, backsplash, flooring, etc.

Carlos and his team did a great job renovating our house. Fram start to finish, Carlos was responsive, and his team was punctual. They worked on our home for over a month in total while I continued to add several projects to the scope of work. We would be so happy when one project completed, we asked to start another. I was very pleased with the cost of work vs. the competition, and there was absolutely no sacrifice to quality. These guys were true professionals. Shout out to Felipe who might be one of the best projects leads I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

Carlos was very accommodating and made sure to communicate all updates, so we were understanding of the entire process. In total, they remodeled our Kitchen, Bathrooms, laundry room, bar, floors, fireplace and tile feature wall. They also did a lot of new electrical work throughout the home. We get compliments whenever someone walks through our home.

I would recommend Built Right to anyone looking for quality work at a good value.

We hired another contractor to do our kitchen remodel, and they subcontracted Carlos' company (so Built Right did all the actual work). The direct contractor turned out to be absolutely awful (they were not paying Carlos and they kept us in the dark for a lot of problems). This easily could have blown up and destroyed the entire project. But Carlos has integrity, vision, and dedication. He worked with me to get the project finished, and I really appreciate his honesty and work ethic. When we were unhappy with something, he fixed it. He listened to what we wanted, and was happy to adjust if we asked for something different.
We also did full permits through the City of Oakland (complete headache) and they passed all inspections. This was a pretty complex, large job as we were moving all of the appliances so they had to change the plumbing, electrical, and gas completely (sink, fridge, oven, etc).
The entire project would have been 110% better if we had just directly contracted with Carlos. Every single person in his team was very respectful and hard working. They did an awesome job.
