Ugh I don’t want to write this review but feel like I should for future clients. I’ve been coming to bloom for my events for years, maybe once or twice a year. I have challenging curly hair but I’ve always had someone that knew how to blow it out. Few weeks back I went and I was really unimpressed/ upset with my experience. I felt so bad but I was running behind, there is a lot of construction right now. When I arrived my stylist looked really upset with me, I knew I was going to be sitting down for a while so I asked to quickly use the restroom, he visibly rolled his eyes out of frustration. I tried to not think too much about it but he barely spoke to me after that. His first comment was “when was the last time I got my hair cut”, then “have I considered a keratin treatment?” Basically just commented on my drier hair that needed a cut. I didn’t want to argue with him so I just agreed with him I needed a cut, but clearly that wasn’t happening that day. I warned him that since I have curly hair he shouldn’t run his fingers through it once it’s set from the blow dry. He did exactly that, and made my hair frizzier. I told him he probably would have to run a curling iron with it now, and he used a straightener to salvage it a bit. I didn’t voice any complaints to anyone but after the fact I really feel like I was better off just wearing my hair naturally that day instead of being low-key insulted and trying to teach someone how to blow out curly hair. He’s newer on staff, so not sure if you would just be better off going with another stylist with better reviews. Sad part is I actually get compliments on my natural hair daily, so to have him just making snide comments like that, it made me not want to return 😞.
Really great job done by Vicki! The benefit of this place is that the stylists are trained in all of the basics but then they’re able to do a style that will really suit your own face. Highly recommend
They did such a great job on both my hair and makeup, the staff were incredibly friendly and amazing, and the experience was wonderful. They did such a wonderful job for my prom look and I would definitely recommend Bloom Blow Dry Bar!
