Contrary to many other reviews, I had a good experience at this Avis location. They’re located on the 3rd and 4th floor at the SFO rental car center, and you can go to either depending on whether or not you’re a preferred member.

I rented an intermediate car on a Saturday afternoon in November. There was a line at the check-in which was moving pretty quickly since there were 4 agents helping the customers. The agent who helped me was quite polite and did his best to answer my questions and provide directions. They’ve a screen on which they mention your name against the slot in which you can find your vehicle. I found that pretty convenient.

The return process was smooth as well. I got the e-receipt as well as the actual receipt immediately upon return. A word of advice: Whenever you rent a car, always choose to fill the tank yourself before returning, and not use the rental company’s gas filling service since that’s usually more expensive.

I understand during busy times and long weekends, the car rental process can be difficult, but I’ve had decent rental experiences at this Avis location in the past as well. I’ll consider this location for my future car rentals as well.
