I am thankful to all of the people at Wonderland and would recommend Wonderland without any hesitation.

Teachers are skilled and experienced, passionate about their work, and genuinely care about the kids. My daughter is "slow to warm" and very sensitive. They did amazing job helping my kid 2.5yr transition. Miss Mary and Miss Ellen will always pick my daughter up and hold them till she feels comfortable and safe. Teachers know every kid’s personality and traits. They tell me how my daughter is doing during the day and what suggestions they might give when getting back home. Miss Liu takes excellent care of the kids. My daughter had a hard time to take a nap after lunch. She makes sure my daughter eat well and sleep well.

They always keep working to improve what they are doing, from hardware to software, from the facilities to curriculum etc. They listen to parents’ feedback and always try their best accommodate to parents’ request. They are very responsive and responsible to the suggestions.

I am not looking for academic school. I hope my kid could learn and play and make friends. I am excited to find my daughter has learned so much in Wonderland.

This is the re-modeled, re-conceptualized, re-organized pre-school/after-school built upon the old ‘Wonderland Chinese School’. I have my son transferred to Wonderland from Ms. Ou’s family-care (‘Little Star’, which, by the way, is a very good place for infants and toddlers) about 1 month after its re-open in May, 2012. My son was 2.5 at the time. Wonderland has such a big playground and a shiny, open environment that you may picture your kids to have fun. During the past year, we see Ms. Ou (the director), Mr. David, and staff put so much effort in improving the facility, education materials, and the teaching team.

Here I list 3 reasons of which I love the most of it. Of course, there are many other reasons.
(1). This is a worry-free place, with reliable, responsible, enthusiastic, and caring staff. Teachers have the traditional individualized Chinese bonding with kids: while safety is their priority, they devolving on kids’ eat/drink/wear/play. Ms. Ting and other teachers make sure every kid is doing well on a daily base. When my son is too hyper to take his nap, there will be one teacher stay by his side, telling stories to him, and making sure he has his rest. And yes they provide delicious Chinese style, homemade, hot dinner. I can’t help to ask Ms. Ou if I could join in the dinner because it was so good…
(2). They listen. Ms. Ou and teachers are always there, talking to you, learning about your concerns and feedbacks, and answering your questions. Teachers are honest with you. When my son has his ‘up and downs’ and a bit off on some days, Ms. Ellen and Ms. Mary ask me of how he performs at home, have I noticed anything different, and how, teachers and we as parents, can help him get over it. I really appreciate that. I do want to know the ‘wrongs’ and ‘problems’ with my son. Also, Ms. Ou has another English teacher coming in, and the class schedules have new projects-these all reflect our feedbacks, quick and sound.
(3). My son loves his daycare. This is the most important reason of all. He has his favorite teachers and friends. He builds his own little ‘social network’. He misses them over weekend and holidays. Each time before a vacation, teachers and friends hugged him-I can see they love him and miss him dearly as well.

Overall, I am happy that my son has Wonderland as his daycare. Ms. Ou and staff are trying their best to make it a better place each and every day.

This school change owner 3 years ago!
Don't know how it was 5 yrs ago but my daughter has been there almost 2yrs ago (2011), SHE LOVES IT! :) She learned so much every day, always surprise us with something: tell stories in Chinese and English in long sentences, new dance and songs almost every week, handmade "art work" ;-) everyday, and as a 3 yr old now she can count to 100 item! She can also spell words and some simple characters!

As a matter of fact, I'm one of the paranoid parents :) We visited 12 daycare centers all over Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino, Los Altos, including home based care, before we choose them!

For us, we only care about two things -- hardware and software of the facility ;-)

-- They have an acre of land in Cupertino -- huge playground, kids can actually play, and the tricycles can go around in real circle. We've seen much newer schools but the playground for 1-3 yr old is so tiny compared with theirs. Their rooms are not very new but very cozy and fun. The newly renovated hall (used also for after school kids) is great for the parties and kids performance.

-- Software part matters more from our perspectives -- the teachers are awesome! I mean all of them! Our girl loves them and hugs and kisses every teacher goodbye everyday! They have English and Chinese teachers for each classes: Mary, Becky, Ellen, Ting -- I can't say enough about how great they are!

I talked about the academic progress our girl made along the time there, here are some examples that we are impressed by the teachers regarding the life part:

Our girl is very sensitive to new environment and at the beginning she cries a lot, I see the teachers hold her and calm her down for a long time until she's fine.
Our girl is not a good eater, I see the teachers feed her when she really eat too little at lunch (I saw it when stop by and they treat all the kids with this much care!)
When parents take snacks and fruit to school, the teachers not only make sure giving to them, I saw the teacher peal the fruit for them -- some to them is really a lot of work, like lychee! (I feel guilty to bring this type of fruit... :S)

Anyway, in one sentence -- they raise my kid the way I'd like to do it myself, and better (like social environment I can't provide) -- what else a parent would ask?!
