We came to you in a state of shock after losing my husband. We had no idea what to expect. Katherine and staff were very kind, compassionate, and very professional. We we able to design a service that will be heartwarming for the family. We can't thank you enough.

If I could wave a magic wand, I would make sure that Marin and Southern Sonoma County peeps knew how wonderful a resource we have right here in Novato at Valley Memorial, from funereal services, to cremation, to burial and celebration of life, ALL IN ONE location!!! Their compassionate team members will walk the family and loved ones through it all and provide support and comfort through what can be a very distressing time. I invite you to come visit the property, because it's such a beautiful and peaceful, serene place to return and spend time with your loved one. I've heard that family members often learn about Valley Memorial regretfully AFTER they've made arrangements elsewhere, so hopefully this reaches you BEFOREHAND so you can make it easier on yourself and/or others.

Writing a review about a cemetery is not something someone routinely does, and I have to admit I needed to wait a couple of months since my mother's passing to take on this task. However, I felt I owed it to the outstanding individual who assisted myself and my family during one of our darkest days.
First, it goes without saying the location is idyllic; situated in the rolling hills of the northern edges of Marin county, one would really expect nothing less - it is a beautiful, peaceful, tranquil location; the term "final resting place" could not be more appropriately applied.
That being said, it was not the location which made the experience so satisfying, it was the actions of one individual, Melanie Flores, who provided us with so much comfort and solace during this entire endeavor - she was outstanding. Compassionate, empathetic, attentive yet with no trace of condescension or trace of insincerity. Practical, pragmatic, and discerning in her recommendations, she did not allow us to be "guilted" into making overly emotional choices but choices we could afford, live with and yet honor our loss appropriately. In short, she was wonderful. She personally took charge of helping to prepare my mother for her final rest. She was flexible, attentive and in the end you almost felt she had known my mother for decades. Her caring and professional demeanor made the ceremony the success it was. I would unequivocally recommend her services. You can certainly feel comfortable asking for her assistance and I fully believe you will not be disappointed by her efforts. Thank you once again for all you did for us Melanie.Your efforts were peerless.

Death is never easy and you are so vulnerable during this time. Over the years we have had to say goodbye to a few wonderful family members and we turned to Valley Memorial. The service and the care is what helped us make the decision. It's not easy knowing what to do and even being an Event Planner it was a difficult task. The entire staff helped us through such a difficult time. I highly recommend Valley Memorial and the entire staff. In my opinion the service is outstanding and worth more than the cost we paid. I recently attended a service at Valley Memorial Park in Novato and found it to be very beautiful and serene setting. It is a perfect final resting place with a peaceful environment and gorgeous views. The staff was very attentive and professional with our group. A great experience during a difficult time!
