Tone of Music Audio

We visited Tone of Music Audio in our search for an integrated amplifier to replace one that just died (after 40 yrs.)
Tim had selected one that he thought would fit my rather modest system and deliver more musical, more informed sound than my old Rotel.
After spending about 1-2 hours listening to various music using this amplifier and a few different speakers, my wife and I made the purchase and went home happy owners of a delightful, new Rega amplifier.
Thanks to Tim at Tone of Music Audio for the loan of his experience; as well as his encyclopedic knowledge of audio equipment and listener experience. We learned a bit, got a terrific amplifier, and found a place to go for knowledgeable, truly personalized sales and assistance.
Honestly, the sound we're hearing from our system now makes us happy indeed.

I discovered Tone of Music in 2017. I was looking to audition DeVore Speakers. Tim was very patient and really spent time auditioning. When the speakers arrived, Tim did a professional job in setting up the system. I have been upgrading the system over the past 5 years and have procured additional products like a DAC, Amps and Interconnects. I have been an Audio guy for 35 years and have been a plethora of Audio Stores. Tone of Music is the
"Gold Standard". Period!

When I decided to put together a new system I went to all the stereo shops in SF and found Tone of Music was the perfect fit. Tim is extremely knowledgeable and offers thorough explanations to every audio question. Unlike the other places, he carries a variety of high end products suited to every budget and, more importantly, every ear. He was more than happy to audition different components and spin samples from his amazing record collection. Support this local business instead buying on the internet!

The owner, Tim, is an extremely knowledgable audiophile and music lover. He runs his shop the old-fashioned way, inviting you to listen leisurely to all sorts of music on different high quality systems. He knows what he is doing and is also generous with his time, helping to design systems and willing to make make house visits. Definitely worth a visit.
