Station House Cafe

What a charming place! Food was delicious and our server was stellar! This is my idea of a perfect brunch spot! Will have to come back for their dinner menu!

We stopped here on a drive from San Francisco to Fort Bragg. Definitely worth it!
There's an outdoor seating area, but we ate inside due to a chilly breeze; however, with the front a back doors open, the inside felt a little like the outdoors (in a good way, except for the little bird who got in and wouldn't leave!).
Parking is tricky on the narrow, small town street.
I had the Mac and cheese, which was delicious, though the cheese was not as sharp as what I'd eat back home in Wisconsin.
My friend had got a reuben (one of his favorites) after consulting our server because he couldnt decide. The server said many folks had declared it one of the best they'd ever had. My friend agreed!

Looks like a diner on the outside, but the food tastes like a gourmet restaurant. Started with a half dozen Tomales Bay oysters. They have the option for raw or baked with garlic butter. I chose the latter, but I think raw was probably better. Had to try the pop-overs since they have a big photo of them as you enter. Pretty good with the tasty, natural butter they came with. Beet salad didn't look like it had beets at first, but they were on the bottom. The green goddess dressing and crumbled feta cheese made this a tasty treat. The we had mussels in coconut broth and the pork chop with buttery, garlic polenta and swiss chard. All of this was super delicious. Our food took quite a long time to arrive, but once it did, the taste made our cares melt away.

Am a returning customer, absolutely love the food here. They have a great blue cheese burger! Fries were a little more done than I would have liked but still great, and a huge amount. Staff is always kind. Music is pretty loud I get that most places do that but not my preference either. Love this place and will definitely be returning next time I go hiking on the Point Reyes seashore.

The oyster is good. Fries are extremely good! Burger’s patty is little bit under salt in my opinion but that’s okay.

But Spaghetti has some issues. The white wine taste is overwhelming in a bad way. It feels like the Spaghetti is cooked and ready to served, and then someone added a couple teaspoons of white wine at the end. The bitterness is too strong. We asked someone from the restaurant about it to confirm whether this is intentional and they told us it shouldn’t be the case. They said they’ll passed the message and we hope they did.
