    Excellent shop — beautiful materials, and Shalini listened to our needs, thoughtfully suggested alternatives and helped us kindly through the project. She also worked smoothly with her neighboring Barn colleagues to assure a top notch result. Highly recommended!

    Finding the right textile artist and designer for a project can be difficult. Give Shalini B the opportunity to guide you through. Whether your project is large or small, she is helpful, offers choices and carefully listens to your ideas. She has impeccable color sense and always offers ideas you might not have even considered. She will be with you from finalizing textile selection through sewing or reupholstering. I highly recommend her work and talent.

    I discovered Shalini's studio by chance and feel so fortunate to have done so! She is wonderfully creative and has a true artist's eye for color, design and texture. She transformed our living room into a beautiful, welcoming space in ways I could not have foreseen. She is endlessly gracious and patient, and really fun to work with. I can recommend her highly and look forward to working with her on our next project.

    Shalani did a terrific job helping us to pick fabric that would update a cherished 45-year old chair. Friendly, listened to our preferences, and efficiently guided us to an exciting selection. She gave us samples to take home and evaluate in the right setting, and then swiftly handled our order and collaboration with Tom next door to handle the upholstering work. The outcome was beautiful. Highly recommend based on this experience.

    In a world of disappearing artistic destination-stores and studios this enchanting cottage is bursting with beautiful textiles and so refreshing. Shalini the owner-designer is very helpful, full of creative ideas and there is nothing she can’t get done. In house textiles, pillows for my couch even upholstery.
