Quad Republic Skate Company

Came on a Sunday afternoon right before they closed. Stef answered all my questions and let me try on a couple skates! Stef was very friendly and knowledgeable not just about skates, but also about local places to skate and where to find lessons for beginners. The shop itself was really cool and I will be coming back!

I get all my skate stuff here and make sure my friends do too. Skates can be a big investment, and the staff here are knowledge, kind, and helpful- never pushy. They have a great selection of quality gear, and I couldn't be happier with my skates!

Awesome NorCal skate shop I visited on vacation. Got my Moxie Lolly quad skates here, the one on one service from the shop was great and they were even able to ship my skates to me so I didn’t have to haul them through the airport.

Had another terrific experience with Quad Republic and the staff. Despite being extremely busy due to the increased demand for skates during the pandemic, they were patient with my many questions and helped me end up in a great pair that I felt really confident with walking out. There were several other customers in the store who needed help but they managed everything really well--everyone got 1 on 1 attention in a timely manner despite how busy they were. I'm really glad to have such a wonderful shop in El Cerrito, especially now that there's a better parking situation at the new location.

Soon as the pandemic hit I was in need of a new hobby and found myself returning to skates. With the help of the folks down at Quad Republic I was able to build a pair of my own from some tennis shoes I bought online. They were built pretty sturdy and are super secure. Rating 4 stars only because of the wait time for the plate needed underneath the shoe (which is uncomfortable as hell) took forever to arrive. Probably not their fault, but no one ever followed up to let me know when to expect something…… all in all I’m pleased.
