I bought some engineered hardwood flooring at a store in the east bay, but the planks looked absolutely nothing like the display. The display had the dry sawn look (when wood is cut with a blade like a slice of bread), but the sample was a misrepresentation of the actually planks which were cut with the knife slice method, creating the ugly wavy gravy look throughout. I returned that flooring and sought out a new store. I ended up at Cheaper Floors, and talked with Terri. A lot. She listened to all my particulars and then gave advice and showed me what she recommended based on what I wanted, which was something that had character, was slightly rustic, but not all knotty. Rustic and not knotty isn’t easy to do, but she knows her stuff. I ended up with wide plank Hickory flooring, the Medallion Collection (“Sunset” color). We are very happy with the selection and service. Max was also very helpful in guiding me through some decisions about some details of the finish work. Cheers to both. High quality wood here, and big 9” wide planks for some selections!

I do not remember how many times I have called the shop for my tile orders. You know, accidents happen during renovation, including design change and tile damage. Terrie and Max are always happy to pick up and return my calls and try their best to help me. Among the tile shops I was dealing with, cheaperfloor gave me the best experience especially after the sale. I will definitely come back again for other renovation projects. Highly recommended.

it has a wide selection of floors and tiles from high quality brands. Terrie is super helpful and with great design ideas. highly recommend it.
