Dr Wu and staff are all extremely professional and helpful. She's very knowledgeable and takes the time to ensure all of your concerns are covered. Poplar also carries great styles and high quality brands of glasses.

The place is very clean, and masks were provided for whoever needs but doesn't have it. The staff was very helpful in accommodating my appointment scheduling. With my eye examination Dr Wu did very thorough vision tests of both eyes for updating the prescription for lenses. Importantly she also gave information on the condition of blood vessels (arteries/ veins) growing and pressing each other, due to my diabetic situation. I would say Poplar is highly recommended.

I'm updating review from 2 to 4 stars. This is solely due to work and interactions with Nicole, an optician. Ultimately all 3 pairs of eyeglasses arrived and were correct. Apparently one was very delayed due to a special coating. All the office needed to do was tell me from the get-go the special coating adds up to 2 months or more to processing. I would not have hounded them nor reported to my insurance. Also if someone tells you they will get back to you in 24 hours, I shouldn't have to call a week later for follow up because you failed to do so. At the time, since the delay was not explained, it appeared as if they took my money without ordering glasses.

Use caution when ordering glasses or contacts and know your insurance plan, and ask for best estimate of lead times based on your order.

Original 2 star review: I really hope to be able to upgrade review if things improve. Pro: I liked Dr Wu and she listened closely to my concerns. Excellent selection of frames. Easy to get appointment. Con: the female receptionist failed to bill me timely, failed to record optician appointment and failed to explain available benefits and extra 10% off under my plan if I ordered day of exam.

I ordered 3 pairs of glasses with James. He was newly hired by a few weeks as of 9/27 and was sole optician in employ. Others had abruptly left I was told. Also no less than 3 customers came in while I was trying on frames, all looking for missing orders that were 4-8weeks overdue. Both facts should have been my warning to stop and leave.

I have called today, 5 weeks later and told one of 3 pair still at lab and no one knows why. Also James has also left?? It is concerning she can't keep an optician. Why isn't she pro actively reviewing outstanding orders? It's been 5 weeks?? I paid up front.

I would recommend for exam only at this point.

Poplar Spectacles is the best optometry office I've ever visited. Dr. Wu is professional and exceptional at what she does. At my first appointment several years ago, she immediately noticed that my previous lenses were overprescribed and were contributing to eye strain. She takes care in answering questions and explaining eye health. Each client is treated warmly, from the exam to fitting your chosen frames for maximum comfort. The selection of frames is beautiful and distinctive.

Friendly, efficient and comprehensive service. Dr Rha was very approachable and receptive to questions and explained her findings and recommendations clearly and fully. I'm very happy with the service and pleased to provide a strong positive recommendation.
