Over the Rainbow

My daughter went to Over the Rainbow and we had the best experience! It’s clean and the teachers are fantastic. My daughter loved going and it was a struggle to get her to leave. The food offered is nutritious and kid-friendly, the learning programs are awesome and she was treated with patience and respect. Lauren is a great communicator and spent time to make sure I was comfortable and knew how my daughter was doing. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Over the Rainbow has been on my radar for about 4 years - I'm in a mom's group where it's been mentioned a bunch since I joined. All positive comments :). My daughter comes home very happy each day and looks forward to going to school each morning. We get lots of pictures each day of the kids during their activities - all seem quite engaged and happy.
Regarding covid - I have not interacted with many families (we've been attending since July 15) but everyone I have seen dropping their kids off is wearing a mask and sanitizes their hands before approaching the front door. Adults do not go inside. The teachers always have their mask on and I think the kids are washing their hands a lot from how my daughter talks about it. Lauren has asked that we do not travel outside of the state and to keep kids home if we have any out of state visitors.
Over the Rainbow feels like an extension of our family. We feel very lucky to have our daughter there!

If you love your kid, this is the place you want your child to be! Here your child gets the tender love and care they deserve! My son went here with a smile on his face every day, and never wanted to leave as all the kids here love their time together. If i have more children in future they will definitely be coming back!! Teachers are amazing, kids learn many different things, great location. If all child care centers were like this, there'd be more happy parents around ;)

We have had a wonderful experience with Over the Rainbow. Our son, (our first and only child), began going when he was six months old. At the time, he had never been looked after by anyone else apart from my husband and myself, and was shy in larger group settings. A month after he started at Over the Rainbow, we attended his cousin's first birthday party--an event that previously would have been very overwhelming for him. Despite children of all ages running around, he was very engaged. Over the last two weeks we have had a lot of family visiting for the holidays, and everyone has commented on how happy and sociable he is. I credit Lauren and her team for these huge improvements in how he feels around other children and strangers.

Beyond the ways in which they have helped my son develop socially, I really appreciate how much effort Lauren, Gaby and Rose put into making sure my husband and I are well-informed about our son's day. I love knowing when he has napped and how much he has eaten, while my husband really loves the photo updates. As first time parents, the team's communicativeness has been a huge help in making us feel comfortable leaving our little guy in daycare. Prior to enrolling him at Over the Rainbow, I had debated leaving my job to stay home full time, but seeing the ways he has grown around the other children has convinced me that we made the right choice. Given her extensive childcare background, Lauren has also been very helpful in making suggestions on different activities and baby gear to try.

Lauren really goes the extra mile in organizing fun activities for the kids in a safe, cozy environment. The Halloween party and holiday potluck (complete with a visit from Santa) were so cute to see, but the day to day structured activities are very well thought out too. Based on our experience, we would absolutely recommend Over the Rainbow. Leaving your child with someone else is probably one of the hardest decisions you will make, but Lauren and her team make it much easier. We can't thank them enough for everything they do!

When I came to this bay area, I had no relatives and no friends. But the over the rainbow took care of my children. There was not even a single accident or incident that concerned me. OVER THE RAINBOW is like a second home to me and my twins.
Actually my twin daughter, they could not speak English, however they can speak English very well in 6 months. Because the head teacher’s major was education, it helped a lot.
