Great little visitor center at the end of Marin Headlands drive. Good place to stop for a picnic. There are quite a few exhibits and detailed maps of the whole NRA.

Drop by the Marin Headlands Visitor Center to get information, brochures and maps before you hike. In front of the entrance, there is a small area with a picnic table underneath a tree you can take a break. The 76X bus stop is right in front on Field Road and Bodsworth. Bathroom is located at the west end of the parking lot.

It was an awesome experience, cleansing of the mind for sure. If you aren't used to hiking steep hills you might want to choose a different path but the hawk campground definitely has a great view. No running water but 1 portable potty

This place is awesome - and you're going to get the best shots of the Golden Gate bridge in the background! It's a short little hike to the lighthouse, and around the area are great hills where you can get some awesome shots of the water and sprawling landscape.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting San Francisco! When the weather is nice, and there's no fog, you can get excellent views.
