Great school.
A longer time ago, the one year I attended, this was also a good school. It still might be.
We have a son in 3rd grade at Loma Verde and have had a wonderful experience there. We moved to Novato just before he started 2nd grade and our whole family was welcomed with open arms. We love the caring, welcoming community, the opportunities our son has had to take specialized math and reading just at the right level for him, and the fact that they have science, music, art and cooking integrated into their school days regularly. They also offer a terrific slate of affordable after-school enrichment activities from reptiles to golf to pottery to art. It is immeasurably better than our last elementary school, where we felt our son was just on an education assembly line. We also really appreciate the ethnic and economic diversity at Loma Verde and the school community seems to genuinely embrace that diversity as a strength - the International Festival that marks the end of the year is truly a community-wide celebration. We'd definitely recommend Loma Verde for a public school that has many of the advantages of a private school without the price.
