(October 16, 2022, 1:58 pm)This place is really cute and perfect for a quick lunch. If there’s no line and no one in the line trying to customize a large order. The sandwich makers are really fast. There’s a large selection of ingredients and hot and cold options. All of the sandwiches are made in front of you on the line. It’s small inside and things can quickly get cramped. The only complaint I have is they use low quality, paper thin, already cooked bacon. I’d be willing to pay more for a superior quality bacon that’s cooked in-house. Even decent bacon can be made in the microwave, which they have inside.

(February 14, 2022, 1:52 pm)Pure bliss! We were visiting from out of state and this was the top stop for us. I wasn't ready for how great the sandwiches would be. We got 4 total subs: Italian salami, the tri tip, turkey, and the shrimp (served only Tuesdays and Fridays). I'm still dreaming of them. The Dutch crunch bread was perfect and the ingredients were fresh. The sammies put us in a food coma. Worth the money you pay for them. The garlic sauce is what pulls everything together. Now we're figuring out how to come back. A must if you're visiting the bay area.

(January 7, 2022, 2:41 am)Grew up in SF and I’ve never been! Always heard about it but never got around to going. Driving home from Tanforan and saw the little Lucca sign. We had to go! There was a line out the door, it went quickly and everyone was masked. We ordered two sandwiches on fresh Dutch crunch. We got the 3 meat with cheese and a roast beef, both with the garlic sauce. Oh man, it was so good and it was huge!! Can’t wait to go again next time we visit!
