Inverness Park

When I was 4 years old, my family moved from Fremont to San Ramon, our house was in walking distance to this park and my friends and I would play here often. When I was around 8 or 9, a journalist was, for some unknown reason writing an article about this park and asked if he could take a photo of my friend and I playing on the awesome swing set/ climbing dome that used to the main component to the play ground. My mom still has the article that featured a picture of my friend who had climbed to the top of the dome, with me swinging as high as I could to get near where she sat. The cool playground was removed a long time ago now, and replaced with the typical boring but "safe" one. This park is HUGE with several different sports fields able to accommodate multiple baseball and soccer games playing at the same time. There's also a basketball court and 4 tennis courts. Here, 40 years since I first played here, my father and I take my dog on a walk from their house here every Tuesday evening. The highlight for us at this park now is to see how many tennis balls my dog can sniff out an claim as hers behind the tennis courts.

Giving it a 4 because it is a great place to walk my dog. There are no play structures here, just grass and trees and a few benches.

A nice little park to walk through with "fitness path" equipment installed.
