Glen Canyon Park

One of the more interesting hikes in SF in my opinion :) The park has a large open field and theres a trail through the canyon that isn’t too long of a hike!

Beautiful, serene hiking trails. A great place to bring your dog for a walk and a nice park for children as well. The community center at the parks entrance offers various classes for a low cost.

glen canyon park is a great place!! there are many children & families, hikers, students, & volunteers in the area. it’s overall very safe, & the 44 bus stop is conveniently 2 minutes away. the hike trails are also very pretty, just make sure to wear proper shoes because it is rocky terrain. they also have a recreational area building which is very nice, & has a gym. the bathrooms were pretty clean too. the staff are extremely kind & will help you with anything you need. also there are super cute dogs there lol! really good place to get some fresh air at!

A good natural type of park. Great for jogging and a light hiking. Dogs are allowed in the entire area. There are some benches if you wish to have your meal there. Rest room and drinking water (even for dogs) are available. Children can play on the lawn or on playground located near entrance.

Great hiking area with nice changes in elevation and foliage. The paths and steps/staircases have been improved recently which really helps if it’s wet and muddy out. Very popular place to take your dog. The tennis courts and playground area have been renovated and it quite nice.
