I was visiting Oakland and had forgotten my shaver at home, and I needed a haircut. Mark was lovely, talkative but friendly and good at what he does. And affordable!

Made a same day appointment here and met Mark, a kind funny guy who has been doing haircuts out of this spot for over 30 years. He gave me a great cut at a fair price, highly recommend!

Came here for the first time today for a maintenance trim. Long layers and a couple inches off. Mark took his time, explained everything and let me check the length throughout the cut. Very friendly, funny and professional. He spent a good amount of time and told me he’s been in that location for 30-40years+! Easy to find street parking and will come back. CASH ONLY.

Best haircut experience I’ve ever had. Mark is a funny dude, quippy comments with a lot of interesting conversation starters. He’s the only stylist here but you can tell he’s been doing this for a long time (30+ years) and his speed and technique show it. He gave me a bald fade from a picture I showed him and he executed it perfectly despite having challenging hair to cut. It’s walk in, but better to give him a time you’re coming in so he can arrange his day.
