    Alex, the shop owner, is brilliant with color, cut and style. I love the vibe in the shop and the care they put into the product choices and the care of their customers. I’ve been coming to Alex for a decade (more?) and have never had anything but a great cut that also grows out beautifully. Super skilled and knowledgeable professional.

    Alex is a color pro! I am a MN blonde and after suffering through countless other highlight and color disasters around the bay area I found Alex. Lovely salon along adorable Hopkins street. Highly recommend.

    Elixir is a great neighborhood salon with a lot of style. Mary is wonderful! She’s been cutting and styling my fine, wavy hair for over a year and is always game to try new things, including helping me grow out my bangs. A relaxing salon and a great cut.

    I have been coming to Mireya at Elixir for 9 years, and I am so grateful I found her! I haven't found anyone else who works so well with my curly hair, she's great at talking through options, and is an overall chill person to talk to. Highly recommend Mireya and Elixir!

    I’ve been seeing Mary at Elixir for about a year now for cut and color. I have thick brown hair and she’s helped me grow out a long bob and get to a color that warms my skin tone. I can’t get to the salon often, and both her cuts and the color have grown out really well between visits. She’s terrific!
