Dias Ridge Trailhead

Absolutely breathtaking views. Small hike from the start, maybe half a mile. Beautiful trails and such a view. I was driving a 37 foot rv and I made it to the parking area and enjoyed it

If you are planning on a longer hike, this is a great starting point. There is usually plenty of parking on the road side, as most people want to park near Muir Beach or Woods, or near Tennessee Beach. All three are within a ten or 12 mile round trip from this trail head. You get some beautiful views from the ridge tops, from Sausalito to the east, to San Francisco and the top of the Golden Gate to the south, and the pacific and coast to the west.

If you are up for a longer hike and some elevation loss/gain, this is a good place to start.

Rode the trail starting from Muir Beach to the trailhead entrance (on Panoramic Hwy), and back down. Parked at the free Muir Beach parking - limited and very congested on the weekends!

Great workout for newer riders. Cadence is everything. Stay hydrated, even with deceiving moderate temperatures. The climb is steady all the way to the top.

Singletrack spaces must allow for walkers to pass (horse riding also welcomed). Mixed between solo, couples, and families along this trail.

Trail is mostly dry dirt and packed rock. Frequent small horizontal features (treated landscape timber). Watch for multiple switchbacks.

Great trail to Muir beach ! Close to 3 hours for complete forth and back, enjoyable experience with groups

Geat trail that requires no reservation. Big elevation change to the beach, but incline never too much at all with lots of switch backs. Near the beach the trail is equestrian and you can totally go up and touch horses. There was one tan one that was excited to greet me. The trail goes through a mini forest section. Lots of mist but not too much wind.
