Charlie May Coffee and Tea House

I am so glad that we have a new coffee shop in Oakland! It's a nice drive up Golf Links Road. They're close to 580 freeway and Oakland Zoo, off 98th ave. exit! I enjoyed the latte with the Latiya sauce (iced and hot). Cold brew and the pastries are yummy! The ambient is great to catch up on some reading, work, or with a friend over a nice cup of coffee. The owners are kind and friendly :) I really enjoy coming here and I am inspired by the creativity of the space and the taste of the drinks.

A beautiful and delicious coffee house that roasts their own beans. It may be worth noting they do not have sugar, only sugar alternatives (coconut sugar, monk fruit sugar, and agave).

This is my favorite spot! Not only their drink options are fantastic but the owners are welcoming and friendly to everyone. They're so nice to my kids that this coffee shop has become our family 's favorite. I work from here a couple of times a week and love it. It is also pet friendly, which is great for many people. They have indoor and outdoor sitting and it's just a wonderful place; I highly recommend it! Let's support small businesses...

Charlie May is easily my favorite coffee shop. The owners are friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to work or just grab a coffee and pastry to go. The cold brew is *proper* cold brew, and excellent (comes in several varieties), and the espresso drinks are always made to perfection. You won't be disappointed!

Love Charlie May! The owners are fantastic. They have their own coffee roaster, their coffee is great and not bitter. The hibiscus tea is refreshing. The Cortado and Latiya are family recipes, perfectly flavored and not too sweet. The inside is beautiful and a nice place to work.
