Battery Bluff Park

New park nearby Crissy Field. But it’s too new at this moment for visit. The newly planted grass is not growing well.

It’s on the top of freeway so you can overlook the Crissy Field. There are steps down from there to Crissy Field.

On another side, it’s Korean War Memorial and San Francisco National Cemetery.

Beautiful new SF park! Really gorgeous views of the bridge and the bay. The landscaping, walk ways and bike path are all pristine and there is some interesting old military architecture to look at. Gets a bit windy there so I would recommend bringing a windbreaker or sweater

Definitely has potential once fully grown in. Right now the grass is closed off and the park tables are taped off. Great that they have a biking trail and also walking paths. Parking is going to be tight during weekends. Go to Walt Disney Museum or Presidio Transit, then navigate from there.

Park at 667 McDowell and walk up the beige path to take the “back way.” You can enter “the front” by parking at the national cemetery or try to grab one of the limited parking spots by the lawn. Use the Korean War memorial to map to “the front.” There are 11 sets of picnic benches and a several lawn spots to hang out. Lawn spots at relatively wind free until about 3pm. There are three overlook seats and 4 historic batteries to view and explore. The multi use path connects Lincoln to McDowell and cuts the trek to Chrissy field by about 5 minutes. Parks for all forever!

Drove down here on the day when it opened for public ie 23rd april. Dont follow the Google Map direction. It takes you to a wrong location. Instead navigate to Presidio Transit Center or may be the cemetery which is right next to it.

I went there right after the sunset and there were hardly any people. The view of the bridge was beautiful from there. There are a number of picnic tables and i really hope people keep the area clean over time.

Parking - there is a small street side parking of 4 cars and couple of wheelchair ones, right next to the park. Those are paid spots.
Otherwise you can park somewhere in Presidio Transit Center and take a 10 mins walk along the Lincoln blvd.

Restroom - i didn't find any close to this park but there was some close to the presidio transit center.
